The UK Hand Knitting Association works to promote the art of handknitting, and is a fabulous resource for knitters.

The International Feltmakers Association has a network of regional groups and a quarterly magazine.

The British Toymakers' Guild promotes excellence in toymaking, as well as the work and websites of it's members.

The Embroiderers' Guild has a network of regional branches, a museum, runs workshops and publishes two bi-monthly magazines.

The Quilters' Guild provides educational resources through a network of regional groups, and publishes a quarterly magazine.
Forums
These are sites where you can hold discussions with fellow crafters from all over the world, get and give tips and ideas, share information about events, and maybe learn about how you can make a business from your crafting. The forums listed are the pick of general craft forums, but we will be adding more specialist sites as time goes on.

UK Craft Websites have a forum with discussion threads on a wide range of crafts, from textiles to papercrafts, glasswork and painting. It hosts articles from crafters who want to share their projects, and also provides information on crafting courses and tutorials.

A very user-friendly site is the UK Craft Forums which focuses on various papercrafts, textiles, ceramics, jewellery and beading, and photography. This friendly community also hosts a number of general chat areas and shares information on upcoming events, including a handy calendar.

The forum at Craftville hosts general craft discussions as well as an area for swaps and private sales, freebies and information on craft fairs.

Also worth a look is Craftseekers, which combines a forum with a section hosting articles, and a directory of craft related businesses.
