| I can't find the book I want.
All our books are contained within the relevant art and craft categories, which you can access through the menu on the left-hand side of this page (and all pages in the site). Further sub-categories will then appear until you reach the most specific level.
If you cannot find what you are looking for this way, or you are not sure what category to look in, you can use the search box, which is located at the top left of each page. Just type in relevant keywords relating to the book you are looking for and click 'Search'. Bear in mind that, although we are working to ensure that this happens as little as possible, it can be worth entering alternative spellings e.g. entering 'airplanes' might get you more results than entering 'aeroplanes'.
Finally, if none of this yields the result you are looking for, you can always e-mail us. We have focused on getting the most popular books onto the site initially, but we have a very wide range and more titles are being added all the time. It is very likely that we will be able to supply a book that is in print even if it does not appear on this site. |
| I have a problem viewing your website.
This website is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher. It will adapt quite happily to widescreen settings, but it is not well suited to a resolution of 800x600. If you want to try changing your resolution, follow these instructions:
On a PC, go to your Control Panel, which can be accessed through the Start Menu. Depending on your version of Windows you should either then select Appearance and Themes > Screen Resolution or Display > Settings.
On a Mac, go to your Control Panel, which can be accessed through the Apple Menu, and select Monitors. |
| Is it safe to pay on-line with my credit card?
It is just as safe as paying over the phone. To ensure the best protection for your card details, we use a third party Payment Service Provider - Actinic Payments - to process the transaction for us. Actinic operate a scheme that is 100% PCI-DSS compliant, which means your details are protected to the highest industry standard. It also operates AVS, CV2 and 3D Secure, all of which are anti-fraud measures. When you place your order, you are therefore transferred to the Actinic Payments secure site to enter your credit card details, where they are encrypted using 128 bit SSL encryption. |
| What does the value shown in the mini-basket represent?
The mini-basket (the box at the top right of the page) shows the number of books you have currently in your basket, and their combined price. It does not include shipping costs, so, for example, if you have over £50 showing in your mini-basket, you know that you qualify for free shipping. This is to avoid confusion. If you purchase books of a lesser value than £50, your shipping costs will show up when you reach the checkout. For more information on shipping costs, click on the 'Delivery' link at the top of the page. |
| What if I change my mind about my books?
You can return any books you are not happy with and receive a full refund, provided you do so within 7 days of receiving them and they are in the same condition as when you received them. If you do wish to return any books, contact us by any of the methods shown on your electronic receipt, and we will make arrangements for their return. There will be no cost to you for this process. |
